| GYROLAB ASDT Visual Display |
The Visual Scenery for the GYROLAB ASDT is provided by a current generation COTS PC with a state-of-the-art graphics card and driving software. A real world, phototypical database of a customer-designated area is provided.
The forward out-the-window visual display is generated using a current generation graphics computer. Frame rate (average 60 Hz) and the out-the-window scene content are optimized to present a smooth moving, realistic out-the-window scene.
The out the window scene is produced by three Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Flat panel displays to form a three window presentation. High resolution (1600 X 1200 pixels per panel) and high frame rates combine to produce a sharp, realistic out-the-window scene that is synchronized with the pilots' flight control inputs. This, combined with ETC's state-of-the-art motion system, presents the pilot with a high fidelity flight environment
The three window, wide field of view out-the-window display provides a viewing area of approximately 120° H X 30° V.
